Classic FM started broadcast on 19 Dec. 1994. At that time it is the first and only radiostation for Classical music in Bulgaria.

It used to broadcast together with Radio Nova Evropa program.
At present it broadcasts a shared Alma Mater - Classic FM radio program.

Classic FM is the organiser of concerts, divided in 2 cycles:The Concertmasters & The Biochim Classic Jam.

Classic FM radio is also the organiser of European Music Festival in five Bulgarian towns- Sofia, Plovdiv, Pleven, Russe, Varna.

Classic FM supports its own classical orchestra. It started as the Classic FM Youth Orchestra and now is the official Classic FM Ochestra. The musicians have played with all great contemporary musicians at their visits in Bulgaria - such as Nigel Kennedy, Maxim Vengerov, Pinkas Zukerman.
